Senior Tax Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to support tax compliance, audits, and transfer pricing across KSA and the GCC region. The role partners with cross‑functional teams to keep the fast‑growing fintech business compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare corporate tax, Zakat, VAT, and withholding tax compliance, including calculations, filings, and payments.
• Calculate and record monthly and year‑end tax provisions for accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation for tax positions and regulatory submissions.
• Manage end‑to‑end ZATCA portal activities, including registrations, returns, and query responses.
• Support statutory and tax audits by liaising with external auditors and ZATCA officials.
• Monitor changes in KSA tax legislation and assess business impact.
• Ensure e‑invoicing (FATOORA) compliance in coordination with IT and finance teams.
• Review contracts and cross‑border transactions for correct WHT treatment and timely remittance.
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation and related‑party disclosures.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, including deferred tax calculations.
• Identify process improvements and automate tax compliance workflows within the ERP system.
• Handle correspondence, assessments, and disputes with ZATCA, escalating complex matters.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in tax reporting & compliance, external audit, preferably in fintech, banking, or a Big 4 environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of Saudi tax regulations (Zakat, CIT, VAT, WHT).
• Experience submitting regulatory filings to ZATCA.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience preferred (Oracle NetSuite is a plus).
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and an ownership mindset.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
