Sr. Commercial Coordinator

About the role

A reputable construction and contracting company in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Coordinator to manage commercial activities between the commercial department and project sites across large‑scale retail, residential and mixed‑use projects.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between the commercial department and project sites, ensuring timely communication and resolution of commercial matters.
• Prepare, review and submit variations, change orders and commercial correspondence for all active projects.
• Collect, verify and consolidate progress measurements and quantities for interim payment applications.
• Track the status of commercial submissions, approvals and payments with relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with subcontractor payment certificates, back‑to‑back claims and variation assessments.
• Maintain commercial registers such as variation logs, payment logs and correspondence trackers.
• Gather technical inputs from site engineers, quantity surveyors and project managers for commercial evaluations.
• Support the preparation of monthly commercial and cost reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial, contracts or site coordination within the construction industry.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Strong coordination, organizational and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (Microsoft Office suite).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Familiarity with document control systems and project management platforms.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions.
• Understanding of Saudi construction regulations.
