Sr. Sales & Business Development Engineer

About the role

The Senior Sales & Business Development Engineer will lead the identification, pursuit, and acquisition of new business opportunities across the power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical and industrial sectors in Saudi Arabia. The role combines strategic sales planning with technical insight to drive growth and strengthen customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales and business development strategies targeting the Saudi market.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers in oil & gas, utilities, petrochemical and industrial companies.
• Promote the company’s services, technologies, aftermarket solutions and upgrade offerings.
• Generate high‑quality leads, negotiate terms, secure orders and support order renewals.
• Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations and commercial discussions.
• Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, market updates and opportunity reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering, project, service and proposal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
• Identify and develop aftermarket opportunities such as field service, spare parts, upgrades and maintenance agreements.
• Report new opportunities observed during field activities and recommend technical solutions.
• Support business development activities in coordination with local management.

Required profile

• Previous or current work experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Extensive knowledge of the Saudi market in power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical and industrial sectors.
• Transferable Iqama preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in sales, business development or technical sales within oil & gas, utilities or petrochemical sectors.
