Static Equipment Inspector

About the role

SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company, is hiring a Static Equipment Inspector in Saudi Arabia. The inspector carries out hold, witness and surveillance inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities or construction sites to ensure compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect material and equipment for proper handling, storage and protection at SAUDI ARAMCO facilities and construction sites.
• Monitor the contractor's quality systems, records and quality personnel, and review quality document submittals.
• Witness on-site and off-site material and installation tests.
• Record non-compliant practices and equipment and report potential problems to the supervisor.
• Write inspection reports and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Worksheets (WSs) and Equipment Deficiency Reports (EDRs).
• Work safely, advise others to do so, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering in a relevant inspection discipline with at least 4 years of experience, or a two-year industrial/technical college diploma plus at least 8 years of inspection experience.
• AWC Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or CSWIP Welding Inspector certification required.

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of applicable international standards, including API 653 and API 510.
