Team Lead - Operation Quality

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Team Lead - Operation Quality in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to lead a team of quality engineers and technicians in a high-quality manufacturing or assembly environment. The role covers quality checking, process development, audit participation and supplier quality, and is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team of quality engineers and technicians, plan team development and deliver on performance goals.
• Carry out shop-floor quality activities: product quality checking, incoming material quality, production and testing processes.
• Own process development, procedures, templates and working instructions for operation quality and incoming quality.
• Collaborate with all departments on deviation detection, nonconformance follow-up, root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Support resolution of quality issues from the GIS assembly line or site and follow up NCR-related improvement actions.
• Take part in internal and external audits (ISO, Hitachi Energy, customer) and help close all findings.
• Implement and monitor the quality strategy for materials, customer complaints and processes using predefined quality KPIs.
• Run failure analysis and reports using an 8D template or similar, and implement HSE requirements.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and follow up corrective actions on NCRs, CCRPs and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in GIS products, quality control or assurance preferred.
• Experience resolving HV site non-conformances.
• Hands-on experience in material inspection, ISO 9001, process or product auditing, QMS and internal quality auditing preferred.
• Good problem-solving, planning, prioritising and teamwork skills; proficiency in spoken and written English required.
