Technical Architecture Manager

About the role

Mobco Group is looking for a senior Technical Architecture Manager to lead the architectural side of the prestigious Diriyah Project in Riyadh. The role requires deep expertise in large‑scale hospitality, luxury hotel and mixed‑use developments, overseeing design compliance from concept through construction and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all architectural technical activities for the project.
• Review and coordinate drawings, specifications, shop drawings, material submittals and technical submissions.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, consultant specifications, local regulations and international best practices.
• Coordinate with design consultants, clients, project management and site construction teams to resolve technical issues.
• Drive design development, value engineering and design optimisation initiatives.
• Validate RFIs, technical queries and design changes.
• Integrate architectural work with structural, MEP, interior design, landscape and specialist systems teams.
• Lead workshops, technical meetings and design coordination sessions.
• Monitor construction to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Support procurement during technical evaluation of materials and specialist subcontractors.
• Manage design revisions, change orders and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide technical reports to senior management.
• Assist with project handover, snagging, close‑out documentation and final approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (mandatory); Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional registration or membership with a recognised architectural body is an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in architectural design, technical design management and construction.
• Proven track record on large‑scale hospitality, luxury hotel and mixed‑use projects.
• Experience with international hotel operators and hospitality brands.
• Prior work on major developments in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is highly preferred.
