Technical Designer – Events & Exhibitions

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Technical Designer to join our events and exhibitions team in Riyadh. You will translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and execution plans for exhibition stands, event setups, and installations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts, and plans using CAD software.
• Develop 2D drawings and 3D models for booths, exhibitions, and event setups.
• Create floor plans, elevations, sections, and execution drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and production teams to resolve design and technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and venue requirements.
• Specify materials, finishes, and construction details; perform basic calculations for material and structural feasibility.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material selection.
• Support project timelines, provide on‑site assistance during installation, and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation; prepare technical reports when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of technical drafting experience, preferably in events & exhibitions.
• Experience working in the GCC region and residing in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.).
• Knowledge of ERP systems (advantageous).
• Advanced technical drawing and 3D modeling capabilities.
• Ability to perform material and structural feasibility calculations.
