Technical Support Specialist

About the role

The Technical Support Specialist provides day‑to‑day technical assistance to retail branches and business operations, ensuring POS systems, IT equipment, networks, and surveillance technologies run smoothly. The role involves troubleshooting, supporting new branch openings, and maintaining operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver daily technical support for POS systems and related applications across branches.
• Install, configure, and prepare POS devices and peripherals for new and existing locations.
• Monitor system performance, perform basic maintenance, and replace faulty hardware as needed.
• Provide shift‑based coverage to guarantee technical availability during business hours.
• Troubleshoot surveillance cameras, CCTV, networking equipment, internet connectivity, and communication systems.
• Visit branches to set up IT equipment prior to openings.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for advanced support.
• Maintain accurate incident logs, maintenance records, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and operational procedures.
• Assist with hardware inventory management, asset tracking, and deployment of new technologies.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Technical Support, IT Support, or Help Desk roles.
• Experience supporting POS systems in a branch‑operations environment.
• Basic knowledge of networking, CCTV systems, hardware troubleshooting, and operating systems.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and travel between branches as required.
