Testing & Commissioning Engineer – Eastern Region

About the role

The Testing & Commissioning Engineer will lead the commissioning and functional testing of power plant and substation equipment in the Eastern Region. The role ensures that all systems are verified, documented, and handed over safely and efficiently before entering operational service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update project test reports, including documentation of non‑conformances and corrective actions.
• Conduct functional testing according to defined schemes and coordinate activities during customer inspections.
• Resolve technical issues encountered during power plant testing, site commissioning, and substation equipment verification.
• Execute testing and commissioning of relays, switchgear, transformers and related high‑voltage equipment.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures throughout all testing activities.
• Provide technical support by reviewing design documents prior to release.
• Initiate continuous improvement actions and maintain related records in consultation with the department manager.
• Train and lead sub‑ordinates, delegate tasks fairly, and ensure team motivation.
• Deliver planned activities on schedule, report deviations, and manage resource utilization efficiently.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience (fresh graduate acceptable).
• Ability to document test results, handle non‑conformances, and support design reviews.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to escalate complex issues.
