Testing & Commissioning Engineer – Substation Projects

About the role

As a Testing and Commissioning Engineer you will join Siemens Energy’s Gas Services division, working on innovative energy projects across Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for planning, testing and commissioning substation products and partial systems, ensuring they meet the highest performance and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct testing and commissioning of substation products and partial systems for customers.
• Facilitate technical clarifications with sub‑suppliers, designers and service providers.
• Plan and develop site logistics for installation and commissioning activities.
• Support project managers in risk and claim management.
• Supervise site activities to ensure alignment with project plans and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and proper handling of testing tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction site environments.
• Strong communication, networking and negotiation skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Effective problem‑solving skills and adaptability to diverse cultural needs.
