Track Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Track Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of guideway and 3rd‑rail systems. You will work on both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, supporting the availability of critical railway infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in internal and contractual training for guideway and 3rd‑rail systems.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following method statements, Permit to Work procedures, and Alstom safety rules.
• Execute planned and reactive maintenance to prevent service disruptions.
• Identify critical issues proactively and communicate them to leadership.
• Report transparently using the designated tools and adhere to configuration‑change processes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the Health & Safety at Work Act and Alstom policies.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience maintaining guideway and 3rd‑rail equipment.
• Experience working in multicultural teams.
• Strong knowledge of railway products, systems, and safety standards.
• Professional attitude with clear reporting habits.
