Transformer Testing Engineer

About the role

Siemens Energy is seeking a dedicated Transformer Testing Engineer to join its Grid Technology division in Saudi Arabia. The role involves extensive travel across the Kingdom to test, commission, and ensure the quality of power transformers and related sub‑equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of power transformers of various voltages, ratings and configurations.
• Handle testing tools accurately and document results.
• Coordinate technical clarifications with sub‑suppliers, designers and service providers.
• Plan and develop site logistics for installation, construction and commissioning activities.
• Supervise site activities, monitor project plans and report non‑conformances (NCR).
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, including risk assessments and work‑at‑height safety.
• Manage documentation and gate‑pass procedures for personnel and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on construction sites, preferably in power equipment testing.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Sensitivity to diverse cultural, religious and ethnic groups.
• High integrity and professional standards.
