AC Technician – Hotel HVAC & Refrigeration

About the role

The AC Technician ensures that all heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration systems across the hotel operate efficiently. You will maintain guest comfort, safety and energy performance in rooms, public areas, restaurants, kitchens and back‑of‑house facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair air‑conditioning units, chillers, FCUs, AHUs, split and package units, ventilation systems and exhaust fans.
• Maintain walk‑in coolers, freezers, ice machines and cold rooms.
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests related to air‑conditioning and ventilation.
• Monitor system performance, replace filters, belts, motors, thermostats, valves and bearings as needed.
• Check refrigerant levels, repair leaks in line with environmental regulations.
• Conduct daily inspections of mechanical plant rooms and keep accurate maintenance records in the CMMS.
• Support energy‑conservation initiatives and coordinate with contractors during major works.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and fire‑life‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, Air‑Conditioning or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience as an AC Technician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Valid HVAC/Refrigeration certification is a plus.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and on‑call emergencies.
