About the role

Saudi Gold Refinery is seeking an Accountant in Riyadh to manage daily financial recording and reconciliation for its refining operations. The role ensures accurate general ledger maintenance, supports month‑end closing, and guarantees compliance with Saudi tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Post accurate journal entries for refining costs, bullion inventory movements, and corporate expenses.
• Calculate and file monthly and quarterly VAT returns through the ZATCA portal.
• Reconcile physical bullion and dore inventory counts with system records.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations for cash, inventory, and accrued liabilities.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and compute depreciation for plant equipment and laboratory instruments.
• Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for external auditors.
• Allocate refining costs (chemicals, energy) to production batches for accurate cost of goods sold reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or trading environment.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi VAT regulations and experience filing VAT returns.
• Proven ability to manage general‑ledger, inventory, and fixed‑asset accounting.
