Accounting Supervisor – VAT, WHT, Zakat Compliance

About the role

The Accounting Supervisor will lead the company’s compliance with Saudi VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT) and Zakat regulations. You will be responsible for preparing and filing returns, managing audits, and ensuring accurate tax reporting across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit VAT, WHT and Zakat returns to ZATCA.
• Lead ZATCA audits, inspections, assessments and tax reviews.
• Stay updated on tax law changes and assess business impact.
• Prepare Zakat computations, declarations and supporting schedules.
• Review GL transactions and tax reconciliations for accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants to ensure data completeness.
• Reconcile tax accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Develop and strengthen tax compliance controls and procedures.
• Respond to tax authority inquiries and coordinate audit requirements.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to tax matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in accounting, tax compliance or financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with ZATCA audits, inspections and assessments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi tax regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and regulatory submissions.
