Alternate Site Manager (Secret Clearance) – Mechanical Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking an Alternate Site Manager with a Secret Clearance to support Engineering Support Services at AASAB and related sites in Southwest Asia. The role combines mechanical engineering expertise with day‑to‑day site leadership, ensuring safe and efficient operations in line with Air Force requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager in managing Engineering Support Services across multiple locations.
• Assume full Site Manager duties during their absence, acting as the primary KBR liaison with Government personnel, subcontractors, and mission partners.
• Provide mechanical engineering support for facilities, utilities, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical equipment.
• Evaluate existing mechanical systems and recommend repairs, replacements, or improvements.
• Conduct facility assessments, site surveys, inspections, and technical evaluations.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, calculations, scopes of work, technical submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs.
• Support planning, design, execution, inspection, acceptance, and closeout of engineering and construction projects.

Required profile

• Secret security clearance.
• Proven experience in mechanical engineering within a logistics or construction environment.
• Ability to lead site operations and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Air Force or similar government engineering standards.
