AR Accountant – Manufacturing (Saudization)

About the role

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant will manage customer billing, collections, revenue recognition and ledger reconciliations for a valve manufacturing and heavy industrial engineering company. Working within the SAP ERP environment, the role ensures accurate financial tracking and timely collection from major EPC contractors and industrial clients such as Saudi Aramco.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and dispatch commercial invoices, credit and debit notes based on manufacturing milestones, shipping documents and sales orders while complying with Saudi ZATCA e‑invoicing regulations.
• Process daily AR transactions, cash receipts, bank transfers and check deposits, and perform monthly bank and AR sub‑ledger reconciliations in SAP.
• Monitor customer aging reports, coordinate with sales, project and logistics teams to resolve billing discrepancies and accelerate overdue payments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly AR aging analysis, collection forecasts and bad‑debt provision reports, and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Provide AR schedules, customer ledger statements and verification documents to external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of dedicated AR or general accounting experience in Saudi Arabia, preferably within manufacturing, engineering or industrial services.
• Professional fluency in English; Arabic is a strong asset.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on SAP ERP experience for AR workflows (mandatory).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Knowledge of Saudi ZATCA e‑invoicing framework and Saudi industrial tax practices.
