Architectural Design Manager

About the role

Parsons is seeking an Architectural Design Manager to lead the planning, design, technical coordination, and delivery of complex architectural projects across commercial, infrastructure, and transportation sectors. You will provide architectural leadership from concept through construction, ensuring design excellence and compliance with all relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, coordination, and technical delivery of complex architectural projects.
• Manage architectural activities throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept to construction completion.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to architects, designers, BIM teams, and other architectural personnel.
• Review designs, drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, and other project deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, fire and life safety requirements, accessibility standards, and international best practices.
• Monitor quality and progress of architectural work to meet production requirements and deadlines.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary leads to resolve design, staffing, quality, schedule, and coordination issues.
• Manage scope, schedules, resources, and budgets while maintaining design integrity.
• Develop staffing plans and resource forecasts for project and business needs.
• Establish and maintain architectural design standards, procedures, and quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading architectural design teams on large‑scale commercial, infrastructure, or transportation projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage complex project lifecycles.
• Demonstrated expertise in ensuring technical compliance with codes, fire safety, and accessibility standards.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to work closely with project managers and engineering disciplines.
