Architectural Inspector (Saudi National)

About the role

Egis, an international architecture, consulting, construction engineering and mobility services group, is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical Architectural Inspector for its site supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will inspect architectural and structural elements to ensure compliance with the Saudi Building Code and relevant construction standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough on-site inspections of buildings and construction projects to verify compliance with the Saudi Building Code and architectural specifications.
• Analyze architectural drawings, plans and technical documentation to check adherence to approved designs and standards.
• Evaluate building materials, construction methods and structural integrity for quality and safety.
• Document findings, observations and non-conformances in detailed reports using standardized formats.
• Identify code violations and safety hazards and communicate them to stakeholders and management.
• Check that construction practices match approved permits, licenses and regulatory requirements.
• Work with architects, engineers, contractors and project managers to resolve findings and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain organized records of inspections, reports and correspondence, and stay up to date with changes to building codes and standards.
• Recommend remediation and improvements based on inspection assessments.

Required profile

• Saudi national.
• Proven experience as an Architectural Inspector or similar inspection role in construction and consultancy.
• In-depth knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and local standards, and of architectural design, building systems and structural integrity.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on several inspection assignments at once.
• Preferred: familiarity with inspection management systems, knowledge of international building standards, and project management experience in construction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software and digital inspection tools.
• Technical documentation, report writing and data organization.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, building materials and construction methods.
