Area Manager, Fulfillment Center Operations

About the role

As an Area Manager in a fulfillment center, you will lead a large, diverse team to ensure operations keep pace with customer demand. You will work on‑site, overseeing safety, productivity and process efficiency while collaborating with peers across shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing across all shifts.
• Analyse performance data and implement corrective actions to maintain high quality and productivity.
• Support and lead a team, handling administrative tasks and fostering a strong team culture.
• Identify process improvements to optimise work flow and enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes and drive operational consistency.
• Monitor safety standards, process efficiency and manage routine team management tasks.
• Handle individual escalations, contingency planning and technical improvement discussions with engineers.

Required profile

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques.
