Area Manager – Last Mile Operations for Amazon Now

About the role

Amazon Now is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead last‑mile operations for its ultra‑fast grocery service in Saudi Arabia. You will oversee a multi‑channel network that includes delivery service partners and third‑party carriers, driving performance across safety, speed, quality and cost.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and scale the last‑mile network for multiple dark‑store sites.
• Manage relationships with delivery partners, 3P carriers and internal stakeholders (finance, HR, tech, product, procurement).
• Drive innovation, test new ideas and ensure best‑practice implementation.
• Maintain health and safety standards and promote a strong safety culture.
• Own operational performance metrics (safety, quality, productivity, cost, customer experience).
• Execute continuous‑improvement projects to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop strategic plans for peak‑season demand and long‑term growth.
• Prepare leadership updates, MBRs and QBRs for regional and global teams.

Required profile

• Self‑starter comfortable leading a large, complex logistics network.
• Hands‑on leader with strong stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and drive innovative solutions.
• Proven experience in last‑mile or delivery operations at scale.
