Asset Management Systems Functional Consultant

About the role

The Asset Management Systems Functional Consultant will support electric utility clients in designing, implementing and optimizing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions across generation, transmission and distribution assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirement gathering, functional design, configuration and implementation of EAM/APM platforms.
• Conduct As‑Is/To‑Be assessments, gap analysis and process harmonisation workshops with maintenance stakeholders.
• Develop business process flows, functional specifications, configuration workbooks and solution design documents for work management, preventive and condition‑based maintenance, asset lifecycle planning and failure management.
• Support reliability and risk‑based maintenance frameworks (RCM, RBM, FMECA/FMEA, Asset Health Index) and translate them into system logic and thresholds.
• Enable condition‑monitoring integration, asset health scoring, predictive analytics and ensure data structures support APM outcomes.
• Assist with data quality, master data governance and functional integration of EAM with SCADA, GIS, ERP and Field Service Management systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or related engineering discipline.
• 12‑15+ years of experience in EAM/APM implementation projects for electric utilities.
• Strong understanding of utility operations (generation, transmission & distribution) and substations.
• Hands‑on experience with IBM Maximo, IBM MAS or comparable EAM/APM platforms.
• Proven expertise in RCM, FMECA, asset health assessment and maintenance optimisation.
