Assistant Chief Steward

About the role

As an Assistant Chief Steward at Hilton, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across the kitchen and dining areas. You will support the Chief Steward in leading the stewarding team, ensuring every guest experiences a warm and memorable stay.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise stewards to uphold high cleanliness and service standards.
• Support team members in training, development, and daily operations.
• Coordinate daily pot‑wash and dish‑wash schedules.
• Maintain back‑of‑house areas according to cleaning schedules.
• Observe and enforce health, hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Report equipment faults or damage to management and engineering.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with the location, movement, storage, and stock‑take of operational equipment.
