Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will support the Executive Housekeeper in delivering exceptional cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces at Jumeirah Jabal Omar. This onsite position ensures that the hotel’s high standards of hospitality are consistently met for guests visiting the Holy City.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing all housekeeping operations to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction.
• Supervise daily activities in guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house zones, laundry and linen management.
• Monitor productivity and staffing levels to allocate resources efficiently according to business demand.
• Support budgeting, cost‑control measures and productivity initiatives for the department.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public spaces to ensure compliance with brand standards.
• Review housekeeping reports, room status updates and operational logs, following up on any outstanding issues.
• Coordinate closely with Front Office, Engineering, Security, Laundry and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in housekeeping operations within a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role in housekeeping.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with hotel property management systems.
