Assistant Manager – Reservations

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Reservations supports the solicitation and management of reservation sales opportunities, trains and assigns work to reservations sales staff, and drives revenue growth through up‑selling and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and close new reservation sales opportunities to meet personal and property revenue goals.
• Respond to incoming sales inquiries, negotiate contracts, and manage the full sales cycle.
• Monitor same‑day selling procedures, track no‑show reservations, and manage wait‑list priorities.
• Provide exceptional customer service to build loyalty and grow account share.
• Prepare contracts, work orders, and ensure accuracy of reservation sales orders.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years sales/guest‑service experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Business, Marketing, Hotel Management with 1 year relevant experience.
• Ability to understand market conditions, competitor strengths, and economic trends.
• Strong negotiation and creative selling skills.
