Assistant Manager – Restaurants

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Restaurants will support daily restaurant operations, assist with menu planning, maintain sanitation standards, and provide on‑floor support during peak periods. The role focuses on enhancing guest satisfaction and employee performance while ensuring compliance with all policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing the restaurant team, handling employee questions, and providing performance feedback.
• Supervise daily shift operations, open and close shifts, and ensure all supplies, equipment, and uniforms are available.
• Communicate food quality and service issues to the Chef and Restaurant Manager.
• Monitor compliance with restaurant policies, standards, and local alcohol service laws.
• Drive budget achievement and manage financial objectives.
• Interact with guests to gather feedback, resolve complaints, and promote excellent service.
• Oversee training initiatives, coach staff, and conduct performance counseling.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of food‑and‑beverage experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to supervise staff, handle guest issues, and meet operational goals.
