Assistant Manager - Supply Chain Risks

About the role
The organization is a flagship Giga project supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, developing a world‑class entertainment, cultural and lifestyle destination. The Assistant Manager – Supply Chain Risks will support the SRM & SCR team by identifying, assessing and mitigating supply‑chain risks across all procurement categories.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and assess operational, financial, ESG, compliance, geopolitical, cybersecurity, capacity and concentration risks using established risk‑assessment frameworks.
- Develop and maintain supplier risk profiles, including scoring, dependency analysis and critical‑supplier identification.
- Support implementation of mitigation strategies, contingency plans and business‑continuity measures.
- Monitor external factors such as regulatory changes, natural disasters and market trends that could disrupt the supply chain.
- Contribute to enterprise‑level risk dashboards aligned with ERM and governance requirements.
- Collate supply‑chain needs and risk performance data from business teams to build an overall dependency view.
- Conduct awareness sessions to help teams report supplier and supply‑chain risks.
- Oversee junior team members, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Develop and maintain supply‑chain risk policies, methodologies and playbooks.
- Prepare executive‑ready reports, dashboards and updates on risk trends and mitigation status.
- Drive continuous improvement in tools, data quality and processes related to SRM and supply‑chain risk.
- Support audits, reviews and compliance activities related to supplier risk governance.
Required profile
- 7–10 years of experience in Supplier Relationship Management or Supply Chain roles, preferably in large‑scale construction, real‑estate or urban‑development projects.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Law or related fields; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP or CPM are a plus.
- Experience with KSA regulatory requirements and familiarity with Vision 2030 goals.
- Strong analytical abilities to identify and address risks effectively.
- Proven track record of working in cross‑functional environments and aligning diverse goals.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency and knowledge of the local business culture are highly desirable.
