Assistant Manager – Training (HR)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Training will support the design, delivery and evaluation of training programs that enable employees to meet business objectives. This role works closely with operational leaders to identify learning needs and ensure training aligns with company standards and guest‑service expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and communicate all training initiatives to staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Conduct needs assessments, develop curriculum and facilitate both custom and corporate training sessions covering product knowledge, customer service, leadership and company philosophy.
• Monitor enrollment, attendance and participant progress; gather feedback to measure training effectiveness and ROI.
• Partner with managers to evaluate whether trainees demonstrate required technical and leadership competencies on the floor.
• Analyze guest satisfaction data, comment cards and other performance metrics to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Assist in budgeting, planning and adjusting training programs to align with key business indicators.

Required profile

• 2‑year associate degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field **and** at least 1 year of HR‑related experience, **or** a 4‑year bachelor’s degree in the same fields with a certified trainer credential (no experience required).
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and ability to apply them in a hospitality environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest‑service excellence.
