Assistant Scheduler – Logistics, Distribution & Transportation

About the role

The Assistant Scheduler supports the Logistics, Distribution & Transportation (LD&T) team in overseeing internal warehouse activities, ensuring accurate stock handling, and driving optimal productivity across shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Double‑check stock issues, receive shipments, and allocate jobs to laborers for maximum efficiency.
• Coordinate with the store manager to allocate stock and ensure smooth order preparation and invoicing.
• Take over shift duties, document pending work, and hand over clear instructions to the next shift.
• Follow off‑loading and loading procedures, complete checklists, and report any discrepancies.
• Monitor stock during loading, report wrong stickers, missing or excess cases, and empty pallets.
• Conduct daily physical counts for inventory reconciliation and report results.
• Ensure hygiene processes are followed according to checklists.
• Work with forklift operators to rearrange storage and support FEFO (First Expired, First Out) procedures.
• Maintain warehouse equipment, record periodic maintenance, and ensure proper usage.
• Participate in the continual improvement of the EHS Management System, adhering to relevant standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Experience with stock management and inventory reconciliation.
• Ability to allocate tasks to laborers and coordinate shift handovers.
• Familiarity with warehouse hygiene checklists and safety procedures.
• Understanding of EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) management standards.
