Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Mechanical Engineering

About the role

Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) seeks highly qualified scholars to join the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The position is full‑time and focuses on teaching, research, and academic leadership within a dynamic, forward‑thinking institution.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering.
• Develop and implement new courses and academic programs.
• Establish and lead externally funded research initiatives.
• Participate in curriculum design, assessment, and quality‑assurance processes.
• Provide mentorship, advisement, and support to students.
• Maintain active engagement in scholarly and professional development activities.
• Contribute to departmental committees, college initiatives, and institutional governance.
• Represent PMU in academic and professional forums.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the Chair, Dean, or University leadership.

Required profile

• B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from a North‑American accredited institution.
• Demonstrated teaching and research experience at U.S. or Canadian universities.
• Proven experience with ABET accreditation and professional registration.
• Strong record of scholarly research and publications.
