Associate Accountant

About the role

Qanoniah, Saudi Arabia’s leading AI LegalTech startup, is seeking a recent accounting graduate to join its Finance team through the Tamheer Program. The Associate Accountant will gain hands‑on experience across the full accounting cycle in a fast‑growing technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions and journal entries.
• Maintain the general ledger and supporting documentation.
• Assist with accounts receivable, invoicing, collections and balance reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable, verify supplier invoices and approvals.
• Perform bank, payment‑gateway and other balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain schedules for accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, deferred revenue and other balances.
• Support revenue‑recognition schedules and fixed‑asset depreciation records.
• Review employee expenses, payroll records and company‑card transactions.
• Organise accounting documents to ensure audit‑ready electronic files.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including trial‑balance and financial‑statement schedules.
• Support VAT, withholding tax, Zakat and other regulatory compliance.
• Help respond to auditor requests and prepare audit working papers.
• Investigate accounting differences and follow up until resolved.
• Update financial systems, spreadsheets and accounting databases accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Success, HR and other teams to obtain required financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Eligibility to participate in the Tamheer Program (recent graduate).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under supervision.
