Associate / Principal Mechanical Engineer – Mechanical Design Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Associate / Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and technical delivery for major multidisciplinary projects in the Middle East. The role focuses on developing and reviewing mechanical designs, leading design activities and coordinating mechanical services with other disciplines to deliver technically robust and compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from concept through detailed design and tender stages.
• Develop and review mechanical designs, calculations, drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Coordinate mechanical services with architectural, structural, electrical and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, codes and Middle East regulations.

Required profile

• 12+ years of mechanical engineering design experience, with strong consultancy background on medium to large‑scale building/infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 5 years of design experience in the Middle East, preferably Saudi/GCC projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver technically robust solutions.
• Professional registration/chartership is advantageous.

Required skills

• HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, heating, plumbing & drainage, fire protection systems.
• AutoCAD, Revit/BIM and relevant mechanical design/calculation software.
