Associate Project Manager - Automation Projects

About the role

ABB is looking for an Associate Project Manager in Al-Khobar, reporting to the ME Operation Manager. The role leads the execution of extra small, small and medium-sized projects within the Automation Business Area, Process Industries Division, Mining & Materials Business Line, primarily in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, serving mining and cement manufacturers. The work model is hybrid, with onsite and office presence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project team assigned to each project.
• Ensure all activities follow procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets.
• Apply basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders and deliver contracted deliverables on time.
• Prepare the bill of materials (BOM) and support procurement.
• Monitor and control project progress, resource utilization and project finances.
• Identify, qualify and quantify project risks, and pursue opportunities.
• Drive formal project acceptance, contract close-out and customer acknowledgment in line with the contract.

Required profile

• 5 years of experience in project engineering, associate project management or project management.
• Degree in electrical, instrumentation, electronics or automation engineering, with proven experience in electrical and automation projects.
• Ability to communicate in Arabic and English.
• PMP certification preferred.
