Associate – Tech Assurance (Audit & Assurance)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Associate in Tech Assurance to support audit and assurance engagements for clients across the Middle East. You will work on risk‑based assessments, control testing and third‑party assurance reporting while developing expertise in IT regulations and emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute risk‑based assessments and control testing, including General IT Controls (GITC) and IT Application Controls (ITAC).
• Participate in client walkthroughs to understand IT environments, systems and processes.
• Support SOC 1 (ISAE 3402) and SOC 2 reporting assignments across diverse industries.
• Assist SOX audits by evaluating IT controls over financial reporting.
• Test IT infrastructure, ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, and business applications.
• Document assessment results, findings and remediation plans in line with Deloitte methodology.
• Draft proposals, RFP responses and client deliverables, and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT audit, IT risk or IT assurance (professional services experience a plus).
• Planning to obtain certifications such as CISA, CPA, CIA or CISSP.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within the Middle East as required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of General IT Controls (GITC) and IT Application Controls (ITAC).
• Experience with SOC 1 and SOC 2 reporting frameworks.
• Understanding of SOX audit requirements for IT controls.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic exposure to data‑analytics or audit software tools.
