Automotive Technician

About the role

The Automotive Technician will perform basic vehicle maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs in a workshop environment. The role supports the maintenance team to keep the fleet safe, reliable and serviceable, following approved procedures and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and routine maintenance according to schedules and technical manuals.
• Inspect vehicles, identify mechanical or electrical faults and perform basic to intermediate repairs.
• Use workshop tools, diagnostic equipment and maintenance equipment safely and correctly.
• Document maintenance activities, inspection results and technical reports accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe workshop environment.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians and support them during major repairs.

Required profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Automotive Technology or a related field.
• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in automotive maintenance or vehicle repair.
• Basic knowledge of light and heavy vehicle mechanical systems and vehicle electrical/electronic systems.
• Familiarity with workshop environments such as dealerships, transport companies or MRO facilities.
