Backend Software Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer on a contract basis to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems for high‑performance applications. The role is fully remote, allowing you to collaborate with cross‑functional teams across time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services using modern frameworks.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for a global user base.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues with a focus on uptime.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
