Barista – Coffee Service Specialist

About the role

The role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and bottled beverages to guests in a hotel setting, ensuring high quality and consistency according to standard recipes. The barista also handles cash transactions, maintains bar cleanliness, and supports overall guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare drink orders using precise measuring systems and standard recipes.
• Operate, calibrate, and clean commercial espresso machines, grinders, and coffee brewing equipment.
• Provide coffee bean, roast, and brewing recommendations to guests.
• Issue, open, and serve bottled beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, tables, and tools; stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
• Process all payment methods, count cash at shift end, complete cashier reports, and secure receipts.
• Secure coolers, cabinets, and storage areas; perform closing duties.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related barista or beverage service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Operate commercial espresso machines and coffee brewing equipment.
• Calibrate and clean coffee preparation tools.
• Prepare espresso‑based beverages according to standardized recipes.
• Process payments and handle cash reconciliation.
