Barista – Luxury Resort

About the role

Join Six Senses Amaala as a Barista and become an ambassador of the resort’s wellness‑focused hospitality. You will create memorable coffee and tea experiences for guests while embodying the brand’s values of local sensitivity, global sensibility, and pioneering wellness.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, using their names whenever possible.
• Answer the outlet telephone courteously and efficiently.
• Assist in controlling the outlet’s operational budget to maximise profitability.
• Promote coffee and tea blends, educate guests, and sell related equipment and accessories.
• Update signage and displays to reflect current offerings.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
• Ensure all equipment is clean, well‑maintained and operational.
• Follow safety, security and emergency procedures in line with brand and statutory requirements.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Adhere strictly to LQA standards.

Required profile

• Hospitality diploma or degree from a recognised institution.
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar barista role within a luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong knowledge of coffee and tea production, brewing techniques and roasting processes.
• Familiarity with food‑and‑beverage terminology, menu development, hygiene codes and inventory control.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with hotel point‑of‑sale systems, particularly MICROS.
• Technical expertise in coffee and tea brewing.
• Inventory management and budget control capabilities.
