Barista (Master Coffee Specialist)

About the role

The Master Barista will support the Beverage Manager in delivering exceptional coffee experiences across the hotel’s outlets, bars, and banquet areas. This role focuses on perfecting coffee preparation, ensuring quality control, and enhancing guest satisfaction through memorable coffee presentations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare perfect espresso shots, cappuccinos, lattes, and a variety of coffee drink recipes.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, ensuring correct pressure and extraction.
• Coordinate daily beverage operations with the Beverage Manager and assist in program planning.
• Maintain the hotel’s service standards and act as a management representative on the floor.
• Work the front counter, serve food items when required, and provide outstanding customer service.
• Multi‑task efficiently, prioritising tasks to maximise workflow and guest experience.

• Ability to multitask, think on the spot and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Enthusiastic about coffee culture and eager to continuously improve knowledge.

Required skills

• Espresso machine operation.
• Coffee brewing techniques.
• Knowledge of coffee bean origins and flavor profiles (e.g., Jamaican Blue Mountain, Ethiopian Harrar).
