BIM Coordinator – Structural/Civil

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator specializing in structural and civil disciplines to support high‑end luxury projects. The role involves auditing BIM models, ensuring compliance with client Exchange Information Requirements and the project BIM Execution Plan, and driving coordination across architecture, MEP, civil and interior teams.

Key responsibilities

• Audit incoming structural/civil BIM models from consultants and contractors for compliance with EIR and BEP, and validate asset metadata for future Asset Management handovers.
• Lead multi‑party BIM coordination workshops, chair meetings, and drive resolution of spatial and asset interface issues.
• Conduct clash detection using Navisworks Manage or Solibri, and resolve conflicts to avoid construction delays.
• Implement BIM quality‑control procedures, monitor adherence to ISO 19650 standards, and report non‑compliance to the PMC BIM Manager.
• Identify design risks related to luxury‑specific features and work with project management to mitigate them.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
• 12–15 years of BIM management experience, including at least 10 years on high‑end luxury building projects.
• Minimum 2 years in a PMC, client or lead‑consultant role on mega‑projects or master‑planned developments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to enforce compliance with Tier‑1 consultants and contractors.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit for structural/civil modeling.
• Autodesk Civil 3D (mandatory) and Bentley OpenRoads for infrastructure interfaces.
• Autodesk Navisworks Manage (clash detection, coordination) and/or Solibri Model Checker.
• Experience with collaboration tools such as ACC/Forma, Revizto or BIMtrack.
• In‑depth knowledge of the ISO 19650 information‑management framework.
