About the role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new sales leads, negotiating client pricing, forecasting revenue and driving profit growth. The role involves creating strategic business plans, securing new market share and expanding existing business areas.

Key responsibilities

  • Research and identify new business opportunities, markets, trends, customers and partnerships.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to reach new clients and improve overall business performance.
  • Understand customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Build and nurture relationships with customers, partners and sponsors to generate repeat business and uncover new opportunities.
  • Prepare business reports on revenue streams, service improvements and new ventures.
  • Lead bid‑writing efforts for new contracts where appropriate.
  • Stay current with industry developments through conferences, workshops and professional networks.
  • Recruit, train, coach and manage Business Development teams to meet objectives.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Sales & Marketing Senior Manager.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 14 years of progressive sales and marketing experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
