Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand DAR Engineering’s market presence across Saudi Arabia and the GCC. The role combines engineering credibility with commercial acumen to connect our design capabilities with client needs throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities in building design, infrastructure and energy projects across Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
• Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with DAR Engineering’s growth objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, government entities, contractors and strategic partners.
• Lead client engagement from initial approach through proposal submission and contract negotiation.
• Collaborate with technical, design and engineering teams to ensure proposals reflect scope, technical approach and value.
• Monitor market trends, upcoming tenders and mega‑project pipelines to generate pipeline opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical or related).
• Minimum 12 years of experience in business development within engineering, design or consulting firms.
• Proven track record of winning new business and managing long‑term client relationships in the AEC sector.
• Prior experience in Saudi Arabia and an established network with developers and government entities is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for pipeline management.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint for proposal preparation.
