Category Manager – Amazon Now (Q‑Commerce)

About the role

As a Category Manager for Amazon Now, you will own the non‑fresh assortment for Amazon’s fast‑delivery Q‑commerce service. You will work across internal Amazon functions to ensure the right selection, pricing, promotions and activities are in place while delivering growth, basket penetration and margin objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Category Leader in driving strategic initiatives and new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with Retail PF/Category Leaders to define the optimal selection mix for grocery and non‑grocery portfolios.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve selection, profitability, pricing and availability metrics.
• Own the P&L post‑launch, meeting top‑line and bottom‑line targets and driving profitability projects with vendors, operations and advertising teams.
• Define and continuously refine the assortment to maximize space utilization.
• Source deals for Tier 1 & Tier 2 events to deliver value to Prime customers.
• Partner with retail teams to ensure best‑in‑class content quality and improve conversion.
• Negotiate category marketing funds from vendors for visibility during regular periods and events.
• Integrate category asks into the Annual Retail JBP for common vendors.
• Work with the Ads team to secure a fair share of brand advertising investment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in retail, operations, product or program management, or business consulting with a focus on negotiations and delivering results.
• Proven experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.
• Strong track record of driving growth, margin improvement and strategic initiatives.
