Category Manager – GM & Textile (Houseware & Housekeeping)

About the role

The Category Manager will lead the development and execution of business plans for the GM & Textile, Houseware and Housekeeping categories. Using a customer‑centric approach, the role is responsible for driving sales, profitability, assortment, pricing, promotions and supplier collaboration across the assigned range.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement category strategies, annual growth plans and performance targets.
• Analyze market trends, customer behavior and sales data to optimise product assortment and identify gaps.
• Set pricing, manage margins and oversee promotional calendars, forecasting and post‑promotion analysis.
• Build joint business plans with key suppliers, negotiate terms and manage supplier relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels, improve turns and ensure product availability in stores.
• Lead in‑store category execution, planogram compliance and category resets.
• Manage and develop a team, set KPIs and provide coaching.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in category management, retail or FMCG, preferably as a Category Manager.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
