CH-47 Flight Engineer/Mechanic

About the role

The CH-47 Flight Engineer/Mechanic will support heavy multi‑engine helicopter operations for the Royal Saudi Land Forces Aviation Command. Working day and night, in both VMC and IMC conditions, you will monitor aircraft systems, diagnose faults, and ensure all maintenance actions are recorded and corrected according to approved technical guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform flight‑crew duties, including APU operation and assistance to the pilot during maintenance test flights (MTFs) and operational checks (MOCs).
• Execute CH‑47F maintenance tasks using Technical Manuals, Operator Manuals, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, and Check List Manual.
• Remove, inspect, troubleshoot, and install engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, flight controls, hydraulics and related subsystems.
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including PMS, servicing, lubrication, and support for MOC/MTF activities.
• Operate and maintain special tools, test equipment, Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) and Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE).
• Prepare, review, and update aircraft maintenance forms and records using measuring gauges and alignment fixtures.
• Provide on‑the‑job training, coaching, and mentoring to Royal Saudi Land Forces personnel.
• Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in compliance with directives.

Required profile

• Minimum eight (8) years of experience maintaining CH‑47F or comparable heavy‑lift helicopters.
• Ability to work in both VMC and IMC, day and night shifts.
• Proven capability to train and mentor aviation maintenance teams.
• Strong attention to safety and procedural compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with technical manuals, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, and interactive technical manuals.
• Experience with CH‑47F maintenance procedures.
• Use of measuring tools, gauges, and alignment fixtures.
• Operation of aviation maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, flight controls, and hydraulic systems.
