Charge Nurse – Plastic Surgery

About the role

We are seeking a Charge Nurse to lead the nursing team within our Plastic Surgery department. The role involves overseeing patient care before, during and after surgical procedures, ensuring safety and high‑quality outcomes in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff, assign daily duties and mentor new hires.
• Prepare operating rooms and treatment areas, ensuring readiness for surgeries.
• Assess and prepare patients for procedures and monitor post‑operative recovery.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Coordinate care with plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients on pre‑ and post‑operative instructions.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards and accurate medical documentation.
• Respond to emergencies and resolve operational issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Valid RN license and professional classification from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
• Experience in surgical or plastic surgery nursing.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are an advantage.
