Chief Accountant – Hotel Industry

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function of a hotel operation. The role combines full‑cycle accounting, financial reporting and strategic budgeting to support profitability and compliance in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and inventory control.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports for senior management.
• Monitor daily revenue, occupancy‑related income and conduct revenue audits.
• Control operating costs, analyse departmental expenses and support cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Perform bank reconciliations, cash‑flow management and coordinate annual budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Support external and internal audits and work closely with hotel management to improve financial performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior accountant or chief accountant within the hospitality or hotel sector.
• Strong knowledge of hotel financial operations, revenue management and cost control.
• Ability to lead a small finance team and communicate effectively with non‑financial managers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and hotel management systems.
• Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, cash‑flow management and audit processes.
