Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead the finance function of the unit, overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and delivering actionable insights to support management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Regional Finance Manager and Group Finance in the unit’s overall finance function.
• Monitor day‑to‑day financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, payroll, invoicing and other transactions.
• Manage statutory compliance matters such as audit, IKTVA, LCGPA, VAT, Zakat, withholding tax and other tax requirements.
• Monitor cash‑flow situation and track fund disbursement.
• Liaise with bankers and manage working capital, collections, inventory, bank facilities and other current assets.
• Review and periodically improve financial systems and processes.
• Track the company’s financial position and performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify methods to minimise financial risk.
• Research and analyse financial reports and market trends.
• Provide senior executives with insights and forecasts for short‑term and long‑term decision‑making.
• Prepare monthly and annual reports, including MIS, financial statements, budgets and forecasts.

Required profile

• CPA, CA, ACCA or a Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5‑8 years of relevant experience in financial and management accounting, preferably in catering, food & beverage or a related sector.
• Experience in audit and costing is advantageous.
• Strong strategic planning ability and effective interaction at all organisational levels.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Working knowledge of KSA taxation rules, Saudi labour law, MOIC regulations and other compliance requirements.
• Ability to train, supervise and manage staff.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• MS Dynamics (preferred).
