Chief Accountant

About the role

Radisson Hotel Group, one of the world's largest hotel groups, is hiring a Chief Accountant in Riyadh. The role oversees the day-to-day accounting operations, reporting and compliance, and supports the financial controller so that the hotel's financial strategy is implemented in line with its policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations, including controls and mentoring staff, and ensure teamwork and efficiency.
• Verify daily bank balances by reviewing credit card reconciliations for the Director of Finance's approval.
• Check the accuracy of the General Cashier report and confirm that daily cash is deposited into the bank.
• Reconcile all general ledger balances at month end before issuing monthly financial statements, and report any gaps or variances to the Director of Finance.
• Review monthly reports such as the F&B report and the Cost Controller's report according to company policy.
• Ensure tax payments and filings are made on time and that variances are resolved.
• Prepare various monthly reports as required by management.
• Assist the Financial Controller in reviewing accounting policy application, budgeting, financial analysis and ad hoc duties.
• Keep accounting records properly filed, including contracts, and stay up to date with new regulations and Accor policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of relevant hotel finance and non-finance systems.
