Chief AI & Technology Officer

About the role

The Chief AI & Technology Officer will lead a full‑scale digital transformation for a government services organisation, modernising operations, reducing manual workloads and integrating emerging technologies to deliver faster, citizen‑centric public services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a strategic roadmap for automating manual and paper‑based processes to reduce operational overhead and improve service speed.
• Expand and optimise the Oracle ERP system (Finance, HR) with advanced modules covering operations, supply chain and other mission‑critical functions.
• Deploy Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and intelligent workflow platforms to minimise errors, accelerate turnaround times and improve administrative efficiency.
• Define and execute a government‑aligned AI roadmap using machine learning, predictive analytics and data modelling to enhance service delivery and risk assessment.
• Lead the development of new digital tools and citizen services based on real‑time data, IoT sensors and user‑behavior analytics.
• Build and scale a high‑performing technology team, promote an agile culture with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Identify and implement technology strategies that reduce operating costs, optimise resource utilisation and track ROI of initiatives.
• Ensure reliability, security and compliance of the IT infrastructure with public sector regulations and data protection laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field; MBA highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years in senior technology leadership roles, preferably within the public sector or large‑scale transformation programmes.
• Proven track record of end‑to‑end automation, ERP deployments (preferably Oracle) and service digitisation.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, data science, analytics platforms and modern data architecture in regulated environments.
• Experience launching technology‑enabled services that improve citizen outcomes or back‑office efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to scale agile teams and manage DevOps pipelines in high‑compliance settings.
• Business and financial acumen to link technology initiatives with cost savings and performance improvements.
